Cross Body Lead and Styling in Salsa
The cross body lead is a basic move in salsa that can be used by itself or in combination with other moves. To begin
the cross body lead- both partners begin facing each other.
On 123, the leader takes a step forward with the left foot then
steps with the right foot so that it turns ninety degrees to the left and then steps with the left foot again so that both feet
face the same direction (to the left side of where he was originally standing). On 567 the leader brings the follower to
face the opposite direction as that she started on.
On 123 the follower moves forward and then on 567 she turns (on her left foot) to face the opposite direction as
that in which she started.
